General
information
Daily
programs
The daily program of the school
shall provide positive and creative age-appropriate activities
such as stories, art projects, language and science. We
incorporate a bible time which includes daily devotional stories
and music. These activities are both group and individual in
nature. There are weekly themes that incorporate letters, numbers,
and Bible verses.
The staff
Our staff is trained in early
childhood development and is qualified to meet the state
requirements for employment in a facility caring for young
children. As professionals, our staff not only view
"in-service trainings" as a state requirement, but as a
means to keep them informed in the many areas of early childhood
education.
Show and
Tell
Children may bring show and tell
items to school on specifically assigned days. Neither live
animals nor a toy that represents violence will be permitted.
Outdoor
Play
Children have a need to explore the
great outdoors, and we have daily planned activities for the
children to participate in. All children will participate in
outdoor activities unless a signed statement from the child's
physician is provided stating the child cannot participate. There
will be no outdoor activities when (1) the wind chill is 30
degrees or below, (2) is the playground conditions are not
suitable for outdoor play, or (3) if the staff determines that
outdoor conditions are inappropriate.
Summer
Camp
You will receive information
regarding the specifics of the summer camp program in early spring.
Newsletters
Each teacher is responsible for a
monthly newsletter which will keep parents apprised of upcoming
events, items needed for crafts and any other special messages.
Special
Programs/Parties
Christmas and other holiday parties
and programs will be communicated to parents in a timely manner
with opportunities for parental involvement.
