Busy hands are happy hands. Yes, the Cookery does have busy hands
and it is our hope to help make Faith Church a happier place.
Recently a faithful few cleaned stoves, ovens, stainless steel
cabinets and did several small projects necessary to maintain a
clean kitchen which is used by a variety of people.
Thank you, Kathy and John Buchanan, Ann Everetts, Carolyn Krueger
and Patti Deems. Your time and efforts are much appreciated.
The Cookery served a light lunch to the family and friends of
Jane Wells following the memorial services for her husband, Bill.
Jane has been a faithful supporter of the Cookery and we extend our
sympathy.
A recent quote I read seems “fitting.” We strive to be like a
well-regulated watch of pure gold, with open face, busy hands and of
good works.
Vegetables are an important part of our diet and beets are a good
change from peas, beans and corn, the usual. Today we chose Harvard
Beets, a dish we have used on the buffet line for several meals
served by the Cookery.
