Summer is over, school is starting and "The Cookery" will be scheduling their fall activities soon. Watch in Faith Notes for the upcoming events to be held.

APPLE PUDDING
6 c. apples, peeled and sliced
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 c. butter or margarine
3/4 c. flour

Place apples in a buttered 9-inch dish or 2-quart casserole. Pour the water and lemon juice over the apples and set aside. Combine flour, sugar and cinnamon in a bowl and cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse meal. Sprinkle the flour mixture over the apples. Bake at 375 for 40 to 50 minutes. Serve warm.
