Advent & Lent
Books |
| |
| The Advent Books and Lent Books are
seasonal publications that are authored entirely by the Lay members
of Faith Church. These Lay contributions consist of stories, poems,
essays, Scriptural commentaries, and prayers that provide spiritual
meditations for each day throughout the Advent and Lent seasons.
This ministry has always been a popular outreach for Faith Church
and we hope that this tradition will continue. |

Are you having trouble
finding a book in the Reading Room? Here is the secret
to finding that book that you have been trying to
locate. The notebooks on the counter next to the sink
list all the processed books and are alphabetical by
title (black notebook) and alphabetical by author (green
notebook). Look up your desired book. Once you have
found your book by title or by author, look for the
BARCODE column at the far right. Note the barcode number
that corresponds with your book—that is the key to
success in finding your book. Go to the Reading Room
shelves. All processed books are currently shelved in
barcode numerical order. The shelves are marked
numerically to guide you. The barcode is located on the
back of the book in the upper right corner (see the
sample barcode below). This solution only applies to
books in the Reading Room. Young Adult and Juvenile
books are bar-coded but not shelved numerically. The
librarians will be happy to help you find books in that
department. Please leave us notes with your questions or
requests. Thanks so much for your patience. We are getting
closer to spine labels and the Dewey Decimal system. |
